Since Banner is the primary source of information for the University, access to that information for reports, dashboard, and visualizations is key for data-driven decision-making. UIndy utilizes Ellucian’s Operational Data Store (ODS) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to accumulate vast amounts of institutional data that is available securely through the IBM Cognos business intelligence tools.

You can request access to the Cognos, ODS & EDW reporting toolset my submitting an IT Help Desk ticket. Cognos is available through the Banner and Cognos page in My UIndy while you’re using the UIndy campus network or connected to the UIndy VPN.
